UPM Serdang, 31 May - This program is a knowledge discourse activity held especially for UPM students to increase their career-related knowledge. This program is carried out in collaboration with MPK, Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail. This program lasts for two hours of knowledge sharing delivered by Puan Syarifah Sheril Azlin, BKUPM Psychology Officer. This program was attended by 120 UPM students. This program will be conducted on 26 May 2023 from 8.30pm until 10.30pm through the online platform of the Zoom Application.
The importance of clear understanding and knowledge related to Transferable Skills is the main factor in the implementation of this program. Observations and brief interviews were conducted with UPM students, and the average expressed their lack of knowledge about Transferable Skills. Accordingly, this program is conducted and has been holistically promoted to prospective UPM students. UPM students have benefited from this program regarding what transferable skills are, examples of transferable skills, transferable skills checklist, and student planning to acquire skills throughout their studies. A total of 120 UPM students from various years of study.
The impact of the program is to provide clear knowledge about transferable skills. This helps UPM students in building skills as well as training them for working life later. The intention of the organizers of the UPM Counseling Division program is that UPM students can plan carefully in building skills while also helping them attract the attention of potential employers in the future. This is a very important method to achieve job satisfaction for UPM graduates.
