UPM Serdang, 1 June - University Young Motivator Competition (UMAC) is an annual event of public universities in Malaysia including Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). It is a space provided for students to highlight their talent in motivational and inspirational speaking. This competition program is the Deputy Vice Chancellor HEPA UPM cup by following year. The University Young Motivator Competition (UMAC) The Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Cup (Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA)) UPM Inter PTJ 2023 is the starting event for the national-level summit competition which is the Intervarsity Young Motivator Competition (IMAC) which brings together the great talents of young university motivators in among the students of every (HEPA) in Malaysia. Through this competition event (UMAC) participants have presented their ability and abilities in delivering motivational and inspirational speeches to the audience with conditions and themes set and evaluated by an appointed professional jury. Specially this time, the organizers introduced the Deputy Vice Chancellor HEPA UPM Round Cup as a bet and a lucrative prize to attract students' interest.

This time, the competition took place in a hybrid manner that challenged the creativity of the participants. The online session is focused on the qualifying level competition while the physical event is for the semi-final and final level. The theme for this competition is "Bangkit". This theme was chosen to give encouragement and motivation to all Malaysians who are affected by the current economic situation in the world. This competition program was conducted on 6 to 27 May 2023, starting from the registration session on 6-19 May 2023, the UMAC briefing workshop for participants on 20 May 2023, the Motivational Video Screening and the final quarter of evaluation and the announcement of qualification to the semi-finals on 22 to 25 May 2025, evaluation of the semi-final stage 27 May 2023 at 8.00 am and the highlight of the UMAC competition program on 27 May 2023 starting at 8.00 pm at Dewan Jauhari, Kolej Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah (KOSASS) UPM.

A total of 100 people attended to liven up the night of the UMAC competition. The presence of the participants in this program included the guest of honor of Deputy Vice Chancellor HEPA, YBhg. Prof. Dr. Arifin bin Abdu, Chairman of the Board of Principals from the Chancellor's College, Prof. Associate Dr. Amini Amir bin Abdullah and Head of BKUPM Division, Dr. Mazila binti Ghazali, the judging panel namely Celebrity Jury, Mr. Zaki bin Zainal, Professional Jury, Mr. Shahrom bin Hassan, UPM Jury, Mr. Redzuan bin Zamberi with the presence of the 10 finalists who have qualified for the final stage of the UMAC competition. Also lively with the presence of the Principal of KOSASS, Prof. Associate Dr. Mohd Mursyid bin Arshad, Principal of Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College, Prof. Assoc. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Shukri bin Muhammad Noor and College Principal Tun Dr. Ismail, Prof. Dr. Aminuddin bin Hassan together with students from various Faculties at UPM including full commitment from the program committee.

Ms. Filda binti Mahashim, a Bachelor of Chemical Science with Education student has won the UMAC 2023 Competition this time by receiving a cash prize of RM500, a round trophy with a certificate, the runner-up was won by Mr. Muhammad Muazzamuddin Musyrif bin Abd Razak, a Bachelor of Accounting student by receiving a cash prize of RM350 along with a certificate and the third place was won by Miss Syaffi Syamini binti Selamad, Bachelor of Communication Student who received a cash prize of RM250 along with a certificate. Three consolation winners received a cash prize of RM50 along with a certificate.

UPM Counselor Officer, Encik Mohamad Za'im bin Rosli as the UMAC Coordinator this year stated "Alhamdulillah, the UMAC UPM Deputy Vice Chancellor HEPA Cup Inter PTJ 2023 competition program this time has been successfully implemented. Congratulations to the winners! I am very grateful for the full commitment and the support from everyone involved is very encouraging. We will see each other again at the next UMAC competition".
