Rationale of the UPM EKSA Logo

The Anjung Putra illustration represents the iconic landmark of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). It symbolizes the pride and identity of every member of the UPM community.

The curved base line symbolizes the topography of the UPM campus and reflects its close connection with the natural environment.

The "EKSA UPM" typography, using the Carbon font and slanted to the right, signifies the University's dynamic direction and continuous progress in implementing EKSA practices.

The palm leaf image, synonymous with UPM's identity, represents a conducive working environment that supports green sustainability.

Colour Significance

UPM Red

Represents the culture of quality embraced by UPM staff, in line with the University's status as one of Malaysia's leading Research Universities (RU).

UPM Grey

Reflects the commitment of the University's management to providing a conducive working environment across all Responsibility Centres (PTJs) within UPM.

Green

The use of two shades of green represents green sustainability practices and a harmonious environment. Green was chosen to reflect UPM's recognition and commitment as a Green Campus that upholds environmental sustainability.
