You can call 03-8947 2082 or use the Official Whatsapp Application of the UPM Counselling Division, 011-5665 6221 to book your appointment with the counsellor. You can also directly 'walk in' to the UPM Counselling Division to make an Appointment Booking.

The UPM Counselling Division Building is located at Jalan Persiaran Masjid, next to the UPM Swimming Pool.

You only need to fill in your personal information in My Putra Counsellor before you see a counselor.

Yes, you will be required to sign an Informed Consent Form at the first appointment. This form outlines the relationship between you and the counsellor and will be used as a record under counselling services.

An individual counselling session will take approximately 40 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on the needs of the session being conducted.  For a group counselling session will take 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the needs of the session conducted.

The number of counselling sessions is dependent on the agreement of the discussion between you and the counsellor.

There is no charge for students and employees of Universiti Putra Malaysia who seek counselling and guidance services

Yes, you can stop the counselling session at any time

If you want to change counsellor, you will need to end the service with the existing counsellor. Request the counter staff to change new counselor when applying for next appointment.  During a counselling session service, you can only get to conduct individual counselling sessions with a counsellor at a time. You cannot seek the services of individual counselling sessions from different counsellors simultaneously 

Counsellors cannot disclose your personal information without good reason. Rest assured that your personal information is only known to the counselor.  Limitations on confidentiality issues in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Counselors, Malaysian Board of Counselors, pages 10 and 11
