Improving Social Health

Social well-being is an important dimension of health along with physical and mental aspects. It plays an effective role in improving the quality of life, social efficacy and social performance. It is also an important factor which demonstrates the circumstances and functioning of the society.

Students are considered as an impressive social class in sustainable development. Therefore, their social well-being status is capital for society. In order to help student improve their social health, there are few tips that can be applied.

  1. Develop a good communication skills - Extroverted or introverted, everyone can benefit from good communication skills. It helps us to relate to others and speak up when necessary.
  2. Build healthy, meaningful relationship - Humans are naturally social species. So, it should serve as no surprise that strong, positive relationships can have a tremendous positive effect on our overall health. Be sure to build few strong relationship with people you trust.

 3. Respect and love yourself - Social wellness starts with how you view yourself. When you love and respect yourself, your mood becomes more positive, you become more confident and you’re more likely to socialize with others in your community. 

4. Create a safe support system - When we face adversity in life, it’s important to have someone to lean on for emotional support. Remember, it is never a sign of weakness or shameful to ask someone for help.
