1. How do I get counselling services at Counselling Division?

You can get a walk-in counselling service or contact the Counseling Division Office at 03-9769 2082 to make an appointment.

2. Are the details of the counseling session between me and the counsellor confidential?

Yes, all discussions during a face-to-face counseling session with a counsellor are 'CONFIDENTIAL' unless such information is harmful to the safety of clients and others and is subject to legal action. Clients are also protected by the Counselor Act 1998 (Act 580).

3. If I came to see the Counsellor for an opinion, would I be labeled as problem student?

No. It is a false perception. Every client who comes to the UPM Counseling Division to meet a Counsellor is an individual who is always looking for the best solution for himself.

4. Could it be while I was having a counseling session, because of my sensitivity issues, I would like to choose another Psychology Officer/ Counsellor?

Yes. Client's comfort is our top priority.

5. Where's the Counselling Division location?

The Counselling Division is located at Jalan Persiaran Masjid, next to the UPM Swimming Complex.

6. Who can get the services at Counseling Division?

The Counseling and Counseling Services are open to students and employees of University Putra Malaysia.
