Tips on Maintaining Mental Health During the Quarantine Period

The quarantine period is a very difficult period for individuals to go through. Individuals who are quarantined must remain at home or a quarantine center for two weeks. For someone, this quarantine period is difficult for them due to the limited movement because of the family member’s safety . This affects the level of mental health which tends to feel inferior, depressed due to lack of physical communication, and even the mind will begin to think out of reach. Therefore, individuals undergoing quarantine should try their best to maintain their mental and physical health during this period. Here are some tips that can be tried to maintain mental health during the quarantine period.

 

  1. Do fun activities

Doing activities that are fun and enjoyable, no matter how small, will be able to help you reduce stress. Plan and list all the activities that can be done so that you are always mentally and physically ‘busy’ with activities that are mentally, emotionally and physically healthy. Whether you’re listening to music, watching a favorite movie or playing a mind game. Make sure you do this on a daily basis as it is able to help reduce stress and have a good effect on the mental.

 

  1. Remain Connected with friends

Share whatever you feel and think with friends. You don’t have to be alone in bearing the burden because you can share the problems you are dealing with a trusted friend to help ease the mind. Expressing your feelings and problems to your friend will be able to help remind yourself that you are not alone and can also reduce boredom. A good support network can provide many benefits to your mental health during the quarantine period.

 

  1. Create a new daily routine

You can create new daily routines during the quarantine period, especially in your home. This will help you get through each day more regularly and help your mind become calmer. Include physical activity if able such as zumba and simple exercise. In addition to helping the body recover indirectly, your mental health is also sustained. When you have a daily routine during quarantine, you will feel more motivated to go through each day and it can also reduce your anxiety on the allegations that hit.

 

  1. Practice positive thinking

Think positively because positive thinking will lead you towards positive practice and action. Avoid browsing online portals that are less beneficial to yourself. Take a break from all social media if necessary. Focus on your current self -needs during the quarantine period so that you are more motivated to be healthy. This is because a positive mindset will encourage the development of positive emotions and even have an impact on positive behavior.
