UPM Serdang, 1 November - AKRAB Strengthening Course is a program held every year for UPM AKRAB members. This program is held to increase and improve the skills and knowledge of AKRAB members. The organization of this program is also to strengthen the knowledge and techniques of AKRAB members in providing guidance, help, emotional support and mental well-being to UPM citizens.
Among the current needs of UPM citizens is awareness and mental health care. Therefore, in this program AKRAB members will be provided with various techniques to help clients who seek services from AKRAB.

This AKRAB Strengthening Course is held on 20 October 2023 from 9.00 am until 6.00 pm which is located in the Auditorium, UPM Counseling Department. This program is held to improve the knowledge and skills of AKRAB members in the process of helping UPM residents to be in a state of mental and emotional well-being. In addition, having a program like this can also strengthen relationships and be able to exchange views among AKRAB members. A total of 29 UPM AKRAB members, five (5) Psychological Officers and two (2) Students as Trainee Counsellors, UPM Counseling Division are directly involved in this program. The impact of this program is to inject high enthusiasm into AKRAB members and participants who are present to continue delivering guidance and counseling services to campus residents. It is hoped that the participants will be able to be a source of support to help campus residents who need AKRAB or Counselor services. Puan Noorihayatti binti Noorudin as the coordinator of this program stated "Alhamdulillah, the program went smoothly as planned and received solid commitment from AKRAB members. Testimonies from the participants, hoping that this program can be continued with the next series to learn more about other techniques that they can apply in provide guidance and support services to clients."
