SERDANG, 30 July – The Counselling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) held a final presentation session for trainee counsellors who had completed their Industrial Training placement at BKUPM, which ran from 3 March 2025 to 4 July 2025.

The activity, themed “Showcasing the Aspirations of Future Counsellors,” took place on 4 July 2025 at the BKUPM Auditorium, starting at 8:30 a.m., and was attended by 19 participants, comprising BKUPM staff and trainee counsellors. The session began with opening remarks from the Head of the UPM Counselling Division, expressing appreciation for the trainees’ commitment and contributions throughout their practical training.

Following the speech, certificates of appreciation and souvenirs were presented to the trainees, followed by a group photo session. The presentation segment started around 9:10 a.m., beginning with Ms. Aqilah and followed by Ms. Syahida. Each shared their experiences during the internship, the tasks they had undertaken, and the lessons learned during their time at BKUPM. The session also included a Q&A and reflection segment, allowing both the trainees and audience members to openly exchange thoughts and insights.

The event continued with a light potluck breakfast hosted by BKUPM staff at 9:50 a.m., followed by a “Pentas Santai” segment (Casual Corner), which gave trainee counsellors an opportunity to interact informally with all staff members. The activity concluded around 12:00 noon in a warm and appreciative atmosphere.

As part of the activity, letters of appreciation were also presented to three trainee counsellors, Mr. Rushan, Ms. Syahida, and Ms. Fatin as a mark of recognition for their contributions, commitment, and dedication throughout their industrial training at BKUPM.

This industrial training not only allowed students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations but also helped foster confidence and essential soft skills in preparation for entering the professional workforce.
