BKUPM Take Proactive Steps Towards Covid-19

Serdang - The spread of coronavirus (covid-19) within country worries all parties. Even during the recent Recovery Movement Control Order (PKPP), it has become a new normal especially in counselling and guidance session services. Previously, face-to-face counselling session services were conducted using standard procedures according to the needs of counselors and clients in conducting counselling and guidance sessions.

Thus, a specific guideline for face-to-face counselling/guidance sessions and online sessions during the Covid19 epidemic. These guidelines were developed as a result of discussions within counsellors in line with the requirements outlined by the Ministry of Health and the National Security Council as needed in ethical of counseling professionals.

Through the built-in guidelines, counsellors and clients can conduct counselling and guidance sessions without worrying about the covid-19 threat. In fact, these guidelines are in line with the requirements and requirements set by the Malaysian Board of Counsellors.

Guidelines for Conducting Face-to-Face Counseling / Guidance  and Guidelines for Online Counseling / Guidance  will be adopted by all BKUPM counsellors in the period facing covid-19. Therefore, it is the duty of counselors to help the citizens of Universiti Putra Malaysia to deal with self-issues whicj are affected by the covid-19. The responsibility of being a counsellor will not cease despite the threat from covid19. This new approach seen as more practical, easy and does not burden both parties, either counsellor or client.
