UPM Serdang, Feb, 15th - The Vice Chancellor Narrative was held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Culture & Arts Center, UPM starting at 9am. This program was attended by all staff representatives from each UPM Responsibility Center and was broadcast live through the Official Facebook stream of University Putra Malaysia. This time's narrative conveys the Vice Chancellor's 7 Efforts after revealing 5 Strategies and 11 Aspirations in last year's narrative to steer the ship of UPM for the continuation of UPM's excellence.
Vice Chancellor, Dato' Professor Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman as saying 'this narrative is based on the policy framework of Malaysia Madani and the New Year 2023 Message by YB Minister of Higher Education, Higher Education: Hope and Future, driving the direction and journey of UPM in the year 2023'. Over the course of these 3 years, UPM has risen to the ranking of 123 of the world's best universities from a ranking of 143. In the meantime, he also stated 7 new efforts to drive UPM's excellence, namely strengthening contributions in agriculture and food security, aligning research and networking towards social innovation, promoting student empowerment, streamlining green strategies and good governance, intensifying campus digitization, striving for income generation and uniting the strength of alumni. The ceremony ended with the presentation of awards to PTJ representatives who produced high-impact writing.
In the exhibition visit session, Vice Chancellor did not miss visiting the exhibition by BKUPM which supports the 9th Aspiration which is Strengthening the Campus Wellbeing Initiative. BKUPM developed the Putra Wellness Tracker Application as one of the digital mechanisms for tracking holistic well-being balance among UPM students and staff.- UPM
