Career Information for ASASI Students in Putra Career Planning

Serdang, 26 March 2022- The UPM Counselling Division (BKUPM) has organized the "Putra Career Planning" career planning program in collaboration with Agricultural Science Foundation Center (ASPER). The Putra Career Planning program is one of the special programs for students of UPM's Basic Agricultural Sciences Center (ASPER). This program is an initiative of the Career Counselling Section to provide guidance and information regarding planning in course selection at the Bachelor's Level.

This program has been held since 2017. Every year this program is implemented face-to-face and in groups. However, for 2022 due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the section plans to hold this program online. This program was held as counselling or group guidance for interested students.

This program involved 402 participants. This program successfully achieved the objective of helping students understand more about themselves (interests, personality, skills and strengths). And help students find out the harmony of their career interests and the work environment that suits them. In addition, this PCP program also helps students to gain common sense in making decisions in the selection of courses offered at Universiti Putra Malaysia based on the results obtained and further helps students to plan their chosen career in the future.

Through this program, it is hoped to continue efforts to provide guidance and information to ASPER UPM Students, especially about the importance of making Career Planning from the beginning before continuing to Bachelor's or related studies. This program is also expected to give students the wisdom to choose majors that match their interests and personal strengths in order to achieve maximum harmony between career interests and the work environment so as to trigger the satisfaction and enjoyment of work that will be experienced later.- UPM.
