🎧CIT CAT PUTRA FM WITH A COUNSELOR: AM I HAPPY?

UPM Serdang, 29 September 2023 – CIT CAT Putra FM with the Counselor of the UPM Counseling Division i.e. UPM Psychological Officer, Puan Noorihayatti Noorudin which was held on 12 September (12.00 noon - 1.00 pm) at Konti Putra FM. The target of involvement is for UPM citizens and all listeners on PUTRA FM Frenkuensi FM 90.7 MHz (Around Seri Kembangan) and UPM's Counseling Division Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/bkupm). WHO NEEDS HAPPY? Everyone deserves Happiness. Everyone can choose to be Happy. If asked the question 'Who wants to be happy', it is certain that many will answer 'YES' or raise their hands as a sign of wanting to be happy. But, if someone says how happy it is if I'm not Happy, it means that maybe someone has a certain history or can check their mental health level. This is because, Happiness is a natural human nature. There is no human being who does not want happiness. In fact, anything that a human or a person strives for or does is to achieve happiness. For example: 1) As a student, some feel happy when they get excellent results or some are happy when PTPTN money comes in. 2) As for the staff, some may feel happy when they get a salary etc.

WHAT DOES HAPPINESS MEAN? Some people think that the meaning of Happiness is relative. The meaning of happiness varies and often changes according to the needs and wishes of each individual. For those who are sick, it is certain that feeling healthy is Happiness. But when you're healthy, happiness is definitely not about health, it's already shifted to other things. For this group, happiness is a non-specific "moving target". For pessimists, they will think that there is no happiness. They feel that happiness is just a wish or an illusion, it does not exist in reality and reality.

HOW TO KNOW SOMEONE IS HAPPY? 1) INTELLIGENCE - Able to think optimistically and calmly Agree or not, if I say that humans will easily do something that needs to be done when he is in a happy state. However, unfortunately some of us, never enjoy it and therefore drown in negative thoughts. Whereas happiness makes us think more optimistically and calmly in the face of uncertain situations. If we can be happy in difficult times, it means we are one step closer to achieving our dreams. It shows that we have valued ourselves.
2) EMOTIONS - Spreading the aura of Happiness (If we are Happy, other people are also Happy) This happiness can be contagious (positive vibes). Our happiness will make others have the same feeling. In the same way, when we feel anxious, it will make other people anxious as well. In addition, this happy person will be sought after by others. His attitude that brings happiness will be awaited by others. Unknowingly, the happiness I am experiencing makes other people feel happiness. So, start being happy now. 3) BEHAVIOR - Encouraging yourself to do something that benefits you or that you like According to scientific studies, up to 80% of people do not do what they like, especially when it comes to work. However, to be happy one must do what he likes or what benefits him. Proactive people tend to be happier, because they are always on the move, chasing their dreams and doing activities they enjoy. Being proactive is an attitude where one goes out to find opportunities instead of waiting. Because to be happy, it is the individual's responsibility to control his life. 4) PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH can affect happiness Physical and mental health are assets that we must take care of. Don't let us be unable to overcome mental and physical stress. The effect of happiness is great for health. Research shows that happy people have a healthier heart and can generally lower stress hormone levels.

WHAT METHODS / TECHNIQUES CAN BE PRACTICED TO CREATE HAPPINESS? S.M.I.L.E TECHNIQUES FOR HAPPINESS Tips or S.M.I.L.E Techniques for Happiness. 1) S : Love Yourself (First Love Yourself -FLY) -Accept/Self Acceptance. Accept yourself from all angles. Example; physical, self-advantages and shortcomings or anything related to self. Do the best for yourself. Celebrate ourselves by giving self reward. Example; Birthdays, milestones etc. -Belief system/Self-Belief System. Do or start every morning/day with an Affirmation. Change our belief system or negative thinking to positive thinking. Example; - I'm not happy - I deserve to be happy - I can't do it - I can do it - I'm not the best - I can do it well -C: Commitment: Give a good commitment or 100% to yourself to be happy. Know what we need. 2) M : Meaning of self and life Meaning of self and life with what we like and feel happy. What do we want to label ourselves? Example; -Dj: Happening -Student: Best Student -Employee: Friendly 3) I: Innovation Do innovation every month, quarter or year. Place the target. What innovations do you want to make in yourself? Example; ASK (Attitude, Skill, Knowledge) + Appearance, Behavior, Communicatttion 4) L : Expand Your Circle. Find and build relationships with different groups. Through this way can exchange ideas, learn new things etc. 5) E : Enjoy Enjoy this life with the happiness of your own choice. Do not compare yourself with others. Just enjoy life with a calm and happy heart.
