SERDANG, July 30 - Intrapersonal & Lifestyle Unit, Self Development Section, UPM Counseling Division (BKUPM) has organized the Write Up Story Program since 2022. This program targets the involvement of university students to express their thoughts and feelings through writing. According to psychologists, the habit of writing helps us develop imagination and creativity. When we write, we have to 'get' the words out of the brain. This process is called 'mental effort', and it will stimulate to improve the performance of our cognitive functions.

Write Up Story has been participated by more than 98 participants who have submitted entries in Write Up Story from 2022 to 2023. Each writing has been screened and evaluated by professional judges who have been appointed. A total of 29 manuscripts of student works that have been selected to be published under the title Sinar di Balik Awan.

This Sinar di Balik Awan book is the result of student work with a motivational theme presented through short stories and poems. A total of 16 writing scripts in the form of short stories and 13 poetry scripts that can be read by the entire campus starting July 26, 2024 through the Official Website of the UPM Counseling Division and the Facebook Social Media of the UPM Counseling Division.

According to the coordinator of the Write Up Story program, Mrs. Anis Akmilah binti Mat Hassan, "this program will be continued at the UPM employee level to help them develop imagination and creativity while reducing stress and helping to recover negative emotions at work".

So, it is hoped that BKUPM's noble efforts will be able to help other individuals to read and understand the input shared as a source of ideas for them in their journey of life and provide new light in their lives through the e-book LIGHT BEHIND THE CLOUDS.
