SERDANG - In ensuring that the workplace is safe for staff and customers, BKUPM has implemented Emergency Training for the Incident Action Plan during the year.

This training program was implemented on August 11th, 2022, Thursday at 9.30 am. It was implemented at the UPM Counseling Division Building, for the fire prevention system and training to the BKUPM Incident Action Plan (IAP) which was developed, including building evacuation training.

Once the training is completed, a discussion of formulations is made to evaluate and look back at any improvement opportunities that can be taken.

The training also received good cooperation from the others Responsibility Centres as University Health Centre (PKU), Fast Response Team from Office of Occupational Safety and Health Management, (PPKKP),and also the Office of Development and Asset Management (PPPA).

BKUPM Emergency Response Team (ERT) Committee members led by Incident Commander, Dr. Mazila Ghazali and Occupational Safety and Health Officer Puan Wan Azurani Wan Ahmad carried out their functions and roles according to their respective tasks during the training.  

The purpose of the training was to provide understanding, skills and practice to all members of the committee so that each of them understands and is always prepared with the responsibilities entrusted.

This training is also to ensure that all members of the committee understand the incident action plan that has been developed. This is to prepare for any safety risks to all residents and customers in the event of a real emergency.

The UPM Counseling Division always strives to provide safe facilities to all. They hope to be kept away from all harm both to the occupants and customers and  able to be trusted and feel safe to get their services.
