Serdang, Feb 3rd - The activity of gotong royong is one of the mandatory activities in the implementation of EKSA at Universiti Putra Malaysia. In fact, as many as 4 times the gotong royong activity is recommended to be implemented as an activity every quarter of the year. Gotong royong activities at the UPM Counseling Division this time, focusing on the 'Healing' garden that was developed since November last year.
The UPM Counseling Division has prepared for the gotong royong activity held on 3rd February 2022 for one day involving all staff including the invited officer Mr. Mohd Desa and Mr. Razali from the Student Affairs Division for assistance with carpentry and technical work.
'Healing' Garden is seen as one of the focal points for the staff to be close to the herbal plants and decorative trees. According to Glasser Zone coordinator Mr. Muhammad Za'im Rosli said, Bustanul Arifin or Healing Garden means the Garden of Knowledgeable People. In line with the construction of this site that helps the staff to relax and feast their eyes on the plants in the surroundings that can evoke calmness.
Various BKUPM’s family activities were held at Bustanul Arifin to relieve stress after managing the real work demands with UPM students and staff. Head of UPM Counseling Division, Dr. Mazila Ghazali stated the support of Bustanul Arifin's construction as one of the ways of adaptation to manage positive emotions. She also said that this garden can also be used to help clients calm down and relax. - UPM
