SERDANG, 24 February – The Career Counselling Section of the Counselling Division, Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM), successfully organized the Ihya’ Ramadan Ceremony at the division level on 13 February 2026 (Friday), corresponding to 25 Sha’aban 1447H, held at the UPM Auditorium. The programme, which ran from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., was attended by 12 staff members from the Counselling Division as a holistic initiative to prepare mentally and spiritually ahead of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of club members, followed by a welcoming speech from the programme representative. This was succeeded by the recitation of Yasin and a prayer for blessings, seeking divine grace and smooth proceedings throughout the programme. The modest yet meaningful event was further enriched by the Sinar Ramadan sharing session through READ@UNI, which featured a book review titled “Kembara Mahsyar”. This session provided participants with the opportunity to reflect on life, mortality, and preparation for the hereafter.
The programme also invited En. Muhammad Zaim Rosli as a guest speaker, who conducted an interactive talk followed by a question-and-answer session. His sharing focused on the practice of sunnah, the contemplation of the Quran (tadabbur al-Quran), and the spiritual lessons of fasting, fostering patience, sincerity, and resilience. The relaxed yet heartfelt approach made the session relatable to the daily responsibilities of university staff.
Beyond the spiritual enrichment, the ceremony also served as a platform to strengthen camaraderie among staff through a communal breakfast, distribution of mementos, and group photo sessions. Overall, the organization of the Ihya’ Ramadan Ceremony demonstrates the Counselling Division’s commitment to ensuring staff well-being in a comprehensive manner, encompassing professionalism, emotional balance, and spiritual fortitude, enabling staff to carry out their duties with greater calmness and integrity throughout the month of Ramadan.
