For students from the counseling program, throughout their industrial training they need to complete special requirements according to the conditions set by their respective universities either in terms of hours of counseling/guidance sessions (individual, career, group, family), programs and activities, development professional, administrative management and so on.
Field supervisors and BKUPM members help in providing guidance and training them, and to some extent give a picture of the true reality of the world of work. The experience gained, not only in the planning, process, implementation and production of work, but also the way of communication, socializing with colleagues, integrity, ethics and rules that need to be followed and anything related as an employee.
In this presentation session, trainee counselors have the opportunity to share their experiences, pleasures, difficulties, and opportunities for improvement either from their own point of view, or from the experiences and training they have encountered while here.
For this time, the Trainee Counselors are Sister Nur'ain A'qilah Ali from UKM's Masters in Counseling Psychology and Brother Muhammad Izzuddin Abdul Ghani, Bachelor's Degree in Counseling from UPM. Throughout March until July 2023, they have been directly involved in various activities. Among them promoting counseling services, the use of testing and measurement tools (IPS, IPW, INPS, IMKS, Learning Styles and others) in giving sessions, committee members of programs organized by BKUPM such as the University Young Motivator Competition (UMAC), Putra Holistic Carnival, Monthly Motivation Programs, Career Programs and more. Involvement in these activities is one of the valuable experiences that can be used as an added value in shaping self-strength and career development later.
