SERDANG, 24 February - The Welfare and Recreation Club (Kelab Kebajikan dan Rekreasi, KKR) of the Counselling Division, Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM), warmly invited all staff to participate in the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), an annual platform aimed at strengthening camaraderie, enhancing teamwork, and fostering a sense of belonging among all BKUPM employees.

This year’s AGM was held on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, at 9:10 a.m. in the BKUPM Auditorium. The gathering served not only as the official platform for announcing the new KKR EXCO for the 2026–2028 term and presenting the club’s programs and activities but also as a space for staff to connect through informal and engaging activities. These included group photography sessions, a staff potluck meal, and the distribution of KKR jersey souvenirs. Every participant’s presence symbolized support for the club’s social and welfare initiatives, aligning with BKUPM’s vision to cultivate a conducive and friendly workplace.

During the AGM, attendees witnessed the announcement of the new KKR leadership team for 2026–2028, reflecting the start of a new chapter in the club’s journey. The leadership team, selected based on the highest votes from BKUPM staff, is as follows:

President: En. Ashaari

Vice President: Pn. Wan Azurani

Secretary: Pn. Anis Akmilah

Treasurer: Pn. Izwana

Deputy Treasurer: Pn. Kamariah

The newly elected committee is expected to continue advancing the club’s vision and mission in promoting welfare and recreational culture among BKUPM staff, while encouraging active participation in social, welfare, and recreational programs. President En. Ashaari emphasized that KKR is not merely a social club but a platform to build teamwork, foster unity, and enhance well-being in the workplace.

Beyond the formal agenda, activities such as the potluck and informal discussions allowed staff to strengthen interpersonal relationships, share experiences, and nurture a positive sense of belonging. The AGM also served as a platform to introduce new programs, plan annual activities, and encourage active participation from all BKUPM employees.

The presence of all staff was greatly appreciated as it not only supported the club’s agenda but also demonstrated a commitment to a harmonious, inclusive, and inspiring work culture. With the renewed energy of the new leadership team, the 2026 AGM is expected to be a springboard for more creative, inclusive, and impactful welfare and recreation initiatives benefiting the entire BKUPM community.
