MOTIVATION OF PUTRA SERIES 2 TITLE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND CAREER BALANCE

SERDANG, 29 July - The Career Planning Unit, Career Counseling Section, Counseling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) in collaboration with the Training Section, UPM Registrar's Office has organized the Putra Motivation Program Series 2 with the title, Emotional Intelligence and Career Balance. This program was implemented on 28 June 2024 (Friday) starting at 10.00 am until 12.00 noon.

This program received a favorable response from the campus residents consisting of employees and students and was also attended by the community with a total of 473 participants. The program was held online through the Zoom Meeting Application and was also broadcast live through the Counseling Division's official Facebook.

The sharing of this topic was delivered by YBhg. Prof. Associate Dr. Mohd Izwan bin Mahmud who is a Registered Counselor and also a Lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His presentation is really packed with various techniques to get high emotional intelligence, maintain good mental health and for balance between work and life. This is because, if all these needs can be met then it will help produce excellent employees or individuals both for themselves and for the organization.

The following are among the testimonials of the participants;

1) Give a clear picture of priorities and how to balance career and family, especially for mothers who work full time.

2) Emotional intelligence plays an important role in achieving career balance, enabling individuals to manage stress, build good relationships and make wise decisions at work.

It is hoped that by organizing a program like this, it can benefit UPM residents to continue to take care of their mental and physical health and learn various skills to overcome and find balance in work and life.
