UPM Serdang, 2 October – Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (OSHA) Unviersiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has conducted a workplace inspection program at UPM's Counseling Division on 5 September 2023 from 9.00am until 1.00pm. This inspection program is carried out every year to all the Responsibility Centers of UPM. The designated gathering place before the inspection is carried out is in Discussion Room 2, upper floor. Security inspection made on the upper and lower floors of the UPM Counseling Division. This inspection program aims to monitor Occupational health and safety management. The scope inspected included the Fire Prevention System Scope, Occupational Health and Safety Management Scope, Scheduled Waste Management Scope and past actions inspected.

A total of six (6) people involved in this inspection program, including four (4) members from the UPM OSHA inspection team, Dr. Mazila binti Ghazali, Head of UPM's Counseling Division concurrently with the Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Team (OSH Team), Mrs. Ayna Marliana binti Mohamad Sari, Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator and Mr. Haironizam bin Jaini, Officer for managing scheduled waste (e-Waste). To all the employees in the UPM Counseling Division, please note that availability should be required by the OSHA when the PPE inspection is carried out. Overall, the inspection status of the UPM Counseling Division's OSH was excellent. The results of the report also stated that the inspection of the fire prevention system was in good working order while the management of the Health and Safety Management Department at the UPM Counseling Division was in good condition, all related records were kept in the file and reviewed.

This program benefits all employees in the UPM Counseling Division. The OSH Coordinator representing the OSH Team, UPM Counseling Division expressed his gratitude for the smooth and excellent implementation of the inspection this year and always strives to improve the OSH business.
