SERDANG, October 30 – The Counseling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) has been invited to collaborate with the Student Affairs Division for the Putra Cakna Mental Health Program 2024 Series 2, which will take place on September 6, 2024, at Dewan Putra 2, Kolej Serumpun UPM. This session is a key component where students will complete a mental health screening to assess their mental health status, while counselors will share the importance of maintaining mental well-being.

This program has been planned for 2024, considering the current situation that emphasizes the importance of mental health for everyone. The main goal of the program is to raise awareness and understanding among students about the importance of taking care of their mental health and seeking early treatment when necessary. Students will complete the DASS 21 to evaluate their mental health levels.

The program involves 350 participants and will be conducted in person. It successfully achieved its objective of helping assess the mental health levels of students who are prospective members of the College Representative Council (MPK) of Universiti Putra Malaysia by completing the DASS 21. They also need to be physically and mentally prepared to engage in a demanding academic schedule while fulfilling their duties as leaders in the residential college.

Through this program, it is hoped that the selected students as prospective members of the College Representative Council (MPK) will be better prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally to carry out their responsibilities as leaders in the residential college and as ambassadors to assist the administration and management of the college, ultimately succeeding in completing their studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
