Putra Holistic Carnival (KPH)

UPM Serdang, 23 June - In line with UPM's first 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, which is to Create Resilient Graduate Characters to Face Upcoming Challenges, the UPM Counseling Division (BKUPM) took the initiative to organize the Putra Holistic Carnival (KPH) for the year 2023. The organization of the carnival for one day This is a collaboration between the Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Management Center (WAZAN), Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI) and the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center (PKPP). The organization of this carnival also coincides with the HEPA Strategic Plan 2001-2023 through Core 8 which is 'campus life'. This KPH program will be conducted on 10 June 2023 from 7.00 AM until 5.30 PM which is located at Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail.

 

In line with the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025 also emphasizes the implementation of psychological, emotional, intellectual and social programs (PEIS), therefore this carnival focuses on holistic health aspects covering physical, mental and psychological health. The program's physical approach is expected to provide a different experience for the participants. A total of 430 students involved in the activities provided. It is hoped that the initiative of organizing the Holistic Putra Carnival program can improve the well-being holistically for the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia who face challenges in the future.

 

According to Mr. Haniff, the director of KPH2023, "the slot that many students visit is "Healing Street". In this slot students can express their feelings and thoughts through pictures and colors. This slot is also led by a line of experienced counselors and assisted by trainee counselors". Among the main content in KPH2023 is Senam Robik, 'Healing With Art Therapy' and a Career Workshop with the topic Tatarias Tips for Interviews. This program has given students the opportunity to experience participating in 'outdoor' activities such as Treasure Hunt and Futsal Penalty Kick. "I am quite excited about the 'treasure hunt' activity because this is my first experience. Thank you BKUPM for giving me the space to challenge my abilities," said Nor Atiqah, one of the participants who followed every slot held during the carnival.
