SERDANG, October 30 – The Mental Health Section of the Counseling Division at Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) has been entrusted to conduct the Putra Motivation Program Series 3 2024, titled “Emotional Journey Across the Holy Land,” on October 18, 2024.

This program involved 1,395 participants and was held online using the Zoom platform and live on the UPM Counseling Division’s Facebook page. The program successfully achieved its objective, allowing participants to gain insights from the invited speaker, Puan Nurul Hidayah Mat Sarip, a Psychologist from the Psychology and Counseling Unit at Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic.

Puan Nurul Hidayah Mat Sarip was selected to serve under the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) and Tabung Haji during the 2024 Hajj season. Among her shared insights were the "3 S Tips": Patience, Smile, and Support. When faced with challenging tasks, we need to be patient, as patience helps us stay calm. Smiling is also a way to help us focus on the work at hand. The combination of patience and a smile fosters positive emotions. Additionally, support serves as a method to manage emotions. The speaker also emphasized that sharing feelings with trusted individuals greatly helps alleviate negative emotions.

The program achieved its objective, enabling participants to learn techniques for managing emotions as shared by the speaker, which she practices in her work.

Through this sharing, participants can apply what the speaker discussed in both their professional and personal lives, learning how to manage emotions and undertake assigned tasks and responsibilities with calmness and dedication.
