REKS SHORT ESCAPE 2024

SERDANG, Feb 6 - Short Escape Recreation is a program organized by the College Representative Council, Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College in collaboration with the UPM Counseling Division. The Short Escape Recreation Program is held on 20 January 2024 (Saturday) from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm which is located at Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest.

The Short Escape Recreation Program is the first program that focuses on students with academic problems as a target group. This program aims to provide motivation to bachelor students from Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani who have a CGPA value below 3.00. Among the activities carried out are 'ice breaking' which is stretching and warming up the body, the main slot which is doing gamification, 'race in life'. Participants understand the three (3) main objectives, life planning, strategies to achieve the mission and prepare for tests/failures. The afternoon activity is a relaxing activity in the river to experience nature therapy. By carrying out recreational activities and sharing useful input with UPM's Psychology Officer, students have an impact to improve the student's personality. Apart from that, the implementation of this program in the green area also indirectly helps improve physical and mental health such as being able to breathe clean air and the body becomes healthy and happy.

 

A total of 25 students from Tan Sri Aishah Ghani College who come from various study program backgrounds. This program is held as a catalyst for the students' enthusiasm so that they do not give up in order to achieve success in the academic field and then become more outstanding students in the future. Mrs. Anis Akmilah binti Mat Hassan K.B.:P.A., Psychology Officer stated that "This kind of program should be carried out to strengthen the motivation of the students while also giving them a new lease of life in the struggle to achieve excellence in the academic field. The solid support given can help the students to be more enthusiastic and confident in going through the new semester. Good luck students!"
