THE PILGRIMAGE AKRAB PROGRAM, SANTUNI TO ORPHANS AND ASNAF

UPM Serdang, July 3 - The AKRAB, Orphan Santuni and Asnaf Pilgrimage Program was held as a continuation of the Pre AKRAB CSR Program that was implemented on October 22 last year located around the UPM area. Among the locations involved are the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Educational Studies and Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College. Accordingly, this year, UPM AKRAB members took the initiative and social responsibility to continue this program by visiting and pampering the children at Rumah Bakti Nur Ain, Bangi so that the friendship formed will continue.

This program will be conducted on 24 June 2023, Saturday starting at 8.30 am until 1.30 pm at Bakti Nur Ain house, Bangi. The program that will be implemented is one of the initiatives of UPM's AKRAB members in collaboration with UPM's Counseling Division and Sahabat Masjid UPM as a form of contribution and social responsibility to the community.

A total of 40 people have been involved in making the program a success. They consist of 17 orphans and asnaf, 12 members of AKRAB, three (3) Psychological Officers from the Employee Counseling Section, two (2) House of Worship Managers, one Friend of the Mosque and six (6) community members. By contributing devotion and spreading services widely to individuals who need guidance, instruction and love. In addition, this program can have an impact on orphans and orphans as well as AKRAB members in appreciating helping skills and injecting motivation among all participants.

Dr. Azlina binti Mohd Khir as the director of UPM's AKRAB program stated "Through this program it is hoped to be able to guide children to recognize their potential and make plans towards achieving success in the future".
