SERDANG, 1 December - The Counseling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) welcomed a benchmarking visit from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), scheduled on 19 November 2025 (Wednesday), from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at the Meeting Room, BKUPM. The visit involved three UMT officers who attended to observe and share best practices in counseling services provided at UPM.
The visit began with the arrival of UMT officers at 9:00 a.m., followed by breakfast at 9:05 a.m., and a welcome address from BKUPM at 9:45 a.m. The main session started at 10:00 a.m., featuring a presentation on the services and programs offered by BKUPM, including facilities provided to users. The Counsellor2U system, used in the delivery of counseling services, was also introduced by Technical Operations Officers, Encik Mohamad Za’im bin Rosli and Encik Haironizam bin Jaini. The session included a Q&A with the psychology officers and a summary with appreciation remarks.
At 11:30 a.m., the UMT delegation conducted a tour of the service areas and workspaces, which included a customer satisfaction feedback session for the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) at BKUPM. The visit concluded with a group photo session at the BKUPM Foyer at 11:55 a.m., followed by dispersal at 12:00 noon.
The program provided BKUPM with the opportunity to showcase best practices, facilities, and counseling service offerings, while strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions. BKUPM also emphasized that all work and public areas should remain tidy and organized throughout the visit to maintain uniformity in layout, in line with EKSA assessment standards.
