SERDANG, January 13 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) achieved remarkable success in the Intervarsity Young Motivator Competition (IMAC) 2024, held at the national level by Universiti Teknikal Melaka. This annual event, organized by the Malaysian Public Universities Counseling and Career Council (MAKUMA), saw 40 participants from 20 public universities across Malaysia competing.
UPM sent two student representatives: Jacobs Petrus, a final-year student from the Faculty of Agriculture, and Nor Adilah Che Abdul Razak from the Faculty of Educational Studies, who participated from December 2-5, 2024, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Technology and Industrial Engineering, UTEM. Nor Adilah advanced to the finals with an impressive presentation titled "Tip I.B.U: Rising from Disappointment." Her work not only captivated the judges but also touched the audience with its inspiring and positive message.
The core message of Adilah's presentation emphasized the importance of self-development, self-love, and transforming oneself with wisdom. The competition featured intense rivalry among talented young women, with Adilah competing against female motivators from six other universities.
In the end, through her hard work and dedication, Adilah was crowned champion, winning a title that UPM had long awaited. Her victory caught the attention of YBhg. Dato’ Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, who congratulated Adilah and the officers who supported her success. This achievement further demonstrates UPM's commitment to building future leaders who are competitive on the global stage. Congratulations to Adilah and Jacobs for their effort and fighting spirit! This success has inspired other young motivators at UPM to continue creating and developing their potential.
