Video Resume TOT Workshop

SERDANG - A total of 45 facilitators comprising students, staff and college students from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) attended the Training Of Trainers (Tot) Video Resume Workshop on February 29 and March 4, 2020. The program is a collaboration between the Career Counseling Section , Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) Counseling Division, Graduate Entrepreneurship Development Center (CEM), Student Co-curriculum and Development Center (CPPP), Student Affairs Division (BHEP) and PEMADAM UPM Club.

 

Visibility is a very important thing to keep in mind as today's job demands that rely almost entirely on technology make it impossible for them to exclude themselves directly from the cyber world. Today's sophisticated technological advancements involving artificial intelligence and machine learning have made the employment and career sectors more effective as well as the ability to predict actions, consequences, risks, and potential with more than 90% accuracy.

 

This workshop helps to facilitates future facilitators on how to use Video applications to create video resumes easily that involve only minimal or free cost. Through this workshop, the facilitators will be able to help other students create a 'Video Resume' that is ready to be uploaded to social media pages, and at the same time make them ready for any company. The quality is high and able to compete not only domestically but also overseas.

 

The workshop is focusing on introduction to video resume, preparation of 'content-board', how to shoot video with equipment (Camera, GoPro, Phone etc.), self-publishing video resume and building a Google content.

 

The impact of implementing this program is indirectly help improve the marketability of graduates. In addition, to UPM students, it is possible to enhance the professional image of graduates for 'selfpositioning' in cyberspace so that their visibility in the world of work and career leads to a higher level of professionalism, and enhances the self-esteem of job seekers.
