SERDANG, January 8 - Welcome to the trainee counselor of the Counseling Division UPM, Mr. Rushan Bin Mazly, a student from the Management and Science University, who reported for duty at the UPM Counseling Division on December 16, 2024. Mr. Rushan Bin Mazly has been placed in the Career Counseling Section under the UPM Counseling Division.

This trainee counselor will undergo industrial training at the UPM Counseling Division for six (6) months. Industrial training is an important component of mandatory learning for university students, depending on the field of study they pursue. The industrial training at the UPM Counseling Division provides students with exposure and introduction to various aspects, new experiences, and diverse knowledge in the real working world, specifically in the field they are involved in. Students are also introduced to work ethics and management ethics while practicing the knowledge learned in lectures in a real work environment. For example, the trainee counselor conducts counseling sessions with clients and implements techniques and theories, or applies inventories/tools learned that are related to client management.

The impact of implementing this industrial training brings many benefits, especially in preparing students mentally, improving work ethics, discipline, emotional intelligence, and time management. These elements are crucial in shaping the students' character and maintaining the university's reputation in the public eye. At the end of the industrial training period, the student will present an industrial training report to the UPM Counseling Division staff, which is usually held during the final week of the industrial training. The report is also produced as a reference and proof of the work completed.

We at the UPM Counseling Division congratulate and wish Mr. Rushan Bin Mazly all the best in his industrial training and collaboration. We hope that throughout this industrial training, he will gain valuable insights and create meaningful experiences in preparation for the real working world.
