UPM SERDANG, March 4 - The UPM Counseling Division is pleased to welcome Ms. Nur Syahida Wirduna Binti Zulkifly and Ms. Nik Fatin Nur Aqilah Binti Muhammad Hilmi, 8th-semester students from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, who have joined us as Counseling Interns starting March 3, 2025. During their internship, Ms. Syahida will be placed in the Mental Health Section, while Ms. Aqilah will be assigned to the Self-Development Section.

This four-month internship is a vital component of their academic curriculum. Throughout this period, both interns will gain comprehensive exposure to the counseling field, including conducting counseling sessions with clients, applying counseling theories and techniques in real-life situations, and utilizing inventories and assessment tools for client management. Additionally, they will learn about work ethics, organizational management, and develop professional skills to become future counselors.

The aim of this internship is not only to enhance practical counseling skills but also to prepare them mentally, build work discipline, and improve time management as they face the challenges of the professional world. At the end of the internship, the interns will present their industrial training reports to the UPM Counseling Division as evidence of their achievements and experience gained during their time here.

We at the UPM Counseling Division would like to congratulate Ms. Syahida and Ms. Aqilah and wish them a fruitful internship experience. We hope this journey will provide valuable insights and mark the beginning of their successful careers as professional counselors.
