UPM SERDANG, 30 March - Bahagian Kaunseling UPM is pleased to welcome three Counsellor Trainees from Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS), who began their industrial training on 2 March 2026.

The trainees are Nur Syuhada Solehah binti Mohamed Sufian, Nur Nadiah binti Abdul Kadir, and Edika Elfeez bin Zalani, who are currently in Semester 8 of their studies. Throughout the training period, they will be placed in several sections under the UPM Counselling Division.

Nur Syuhada Solehah is assigned to the Career Development Unit, Career Counselling Section, while Nur Nadiah is placed under the Potential Development and Lifestyle Unit, Personal Development Section. Edika Elfeez is undergoing training at the Mental Health Section.

This industrial training will run for 15 weeks, from 2 March to 15 June 2026, and is an essential component of the trainees’ academic curriculum. During this period, they will gain practical exposure in the counselling field, including conducting sessions with clients, applying counselling theories and techniques in real-life situations, and using assessment tools in client management.

In addition, the trainees will have the opportunity to learn about professional ethics, organizational management, and the development of professional skills as preparation for the real working world.

The UPM Counselling Division extends its congratulations and best wishes to all three trainees. It is hoped that this experience will provide valuable insights and serve as a meaningful first step in their journey toward becoming professional counsellors.
