5 Tips on Stress

5 tips we can do to overcome stress;

1. Breathing Technique
Breathing techniques are able to signal the autonomic nervous system to slow down and calm our heart rate and indirectly control the panic signal to ourselves.
Among the breathing techniques that can be used is the Box Breathing technique. This technique is a technique practiced by Navy Seals. This technique uses four counts which are four counts while inhaling, four counts while holding the breath, four counts while exhaling and four counts while holding the breath. Do this technique repeatedly until our breathing calms down again.

2. Exercise
Try to do exercise activities every day such as walking, running, jogging or others that suit us. Through exercise can help reduce stress, anxiety and increase peace of mind and self-confidence.

In addition to exercise, we can also do meditation or relaxation. Meditation or relaxation can help calm the mind. Try practicing meditation or relaxation every day for a few minutes to get a change in yourself.

3. Socialize
Socializing or interacting with other people is very important for us to share or express the feelings we are experiencing. Interact with our friends or family when necessary.

In addition, social interaction can help increase social support such as emotional support that can help overcome stress as well as improve physical health and self-development.

4. Adequate sleep
Sleep is a very important rest process for the health of the human body. Sleep allows the human body to rest after doing various work during the day. Therefore, we need enough sleep to restore stamina and body function and give the body an opportunity to repair and prepare itself for activities the next day.
We are encouraged to sleep at least seven (7) to eight (8) hours a day to get quality sleep. If you are experiencing sleep disturbances, it is recommended that you seek treatment immediately.

5. See a Counselor
We are encouraged to meet with a counselor to get counseling services. Through the counseling session we will share the problems faced which can help reduce stress.
Counselors can help us identify the causes of stress and help us understand how stress affects our lives. Counselors can provide emotional support and help us feel heard and understood and improve our overall well-being.
