AROMA THERAPY: EASY TIPS TO RELIEVE PRESSURE

Aromatherapy is the result of a combination of two words, aroma which means fragrance or scent. Meanwhile, the term therapy refers to the method used to treat certain health problems.

Aromatherapy is believed to have been used for centuries. Its use has been identified since ancient Egypt (2000 years BC), China (Ching Dynasty in the Bronze Age), Persia, Babylon and the Greeks thousands of years ago as a treatment by medical doctors, perfumes, also used in food processing and preserving corpse. In those days, the ingredients for the production of aroma therapy consisted of selected and high quality plants and spices.

There are several types of scents used in aroma therapy that can help the self-healing process. Among them:

  1. Lavender - relieves stress and helps regulate emotions.
  2. Jasmine - helps to evoke feelings of peace, happiness and self-confidence.
  3. Rose - soothes one's emotions
  4. Blossom - helps improve concentration and relieves headaches
  5. Lemon - promotes positive emotions. 
  6. Lime - promotes emotional balance and well-being.
  7. Peppermint - stimulates refreshing energy.

There are several ideas that can be used to improve emotions through aroma therapy. Among them:

  1. Place a few drops of essential oil in the bedroom, office or study room, where you want to promote feelings of peace, energy, or positivity.
  2. Use a spray bottle to spritz essential oil on your clothes and enjoy this aroma throughout the day.
  3. Apply the essential oil to your temples, shoulders, and neck to lift your mood while inhaling its aroma.
  4. Add a few drops of essential oil to your bath water and enjoy the aroma.
  5. Apply essential oil before starting physical activity to increase enthusiasm and energy.

Aromatherapy, as you already know, is the easiest way to improve mood and manage emotions. It has the ability to create personal experiences that will help you explore, handle and calm the various emotions you experience every day.
