Kau ada di kalaku suka
Di kalaku duka
Setiap tangisan dan juga ketawa
Kau ada di kalaku perlu
Setia menemaniku
Pegang erat tanganku bila aku jatuh
Such are the verses of the song 'Sahabat' sung by singer Najwa Latif once upon a time. Friends are the most influential individuals for a teenager who is going through life for being independent adulthood. Just like someone who needs a friend to get through the twists and turns of life, UPM's Counseling Division takes the initiative to describe the characteristics of a friend that you can be!
An Unforgiving Friend
A good friend rarely disappoints his friend's feelings. It does not mean that a friend must fulfill all the requests of his friend but rather a friend who can understand the wishes and always provide support to his friend.
A non-judgmental friend
A good person will often be transparent and sincere in the friendship built. Not judging means that a friend always accepts the good and the bad of someone. In fact, a good friend will provide space and opportunity to his friend to improve himself.
A good friend will make you happy and smile
The feelings shared between two friends will comes of feeling of calmness, mutual support, a sense of security and positivity. This can be seen when a friend is happier with his friend.
A good friend will comfort you when you are sad
A good friend will not try to hurt you on purpose, but he will try to calm you down even if he is just by your side. A good friend does not need to be a doctor or a counselor to help his friend rise from sadness, but always be a supporter.
A good friend will always be there for you
A good friend will always have room for his friend, whether physical or virtual. In fact, a good friend always prays for the good well-being.
