CAREER BUILDING QUESTIONNAIRE DATA AND NUMBERS FOR YEAR 1 STUDENTS 2023/2024

UPM Serdang, 20 November - The Counseling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has carried out one (1) activity which is related to questionnaire research. As shown in the infographic below, it shows that a total of 1562 1st year students of the 2023/2024 session have been involved in the distribution of this questionnaire. Through the questionnaire data, 68.1% need guidance and career counseling sessions. The distribution of this career building questionnaire will start from 30 September 2023 until 5 October 2023. The distribution of this questionnaire will be carried out during the 2023/2024 Session Putra Power Week. The purpose of this questionnaire was distributed to identify the level of career development for each student in year 1 session 2023/2024 and the students were also informed of the level of their career development. Students have received score alerts for each phase in their career development. The career building phase is self-formation, exploration, career decision-making and career preparation. A total of 1562 students were involved. The impact of the activities on the distribution of this questionnaire, the UPM Counseling Division has received clear information and is ready to plan a high-impact module and also open a wider career guidance and counseling space.

Puan Syarifah Sheril Azlin binti Syed Baharin (K.B,P.A), Head of the Career Development Unit, Career Counseling Section, UPM Counseling Division as activity coordinator stated "this kind of activity should be done to help students go through the initial phase of career building in identifying their potential and career exploration as well as in making decisions in career selection along with character formation".
