SERDANG, 26 January – The Counseling Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (BKUPM) organized a Professional Interaction Session between the Student Representative Council (MPP) and BKUPM on 23 January 2026 (Friday) at the BKUPM Meeting Room, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The session served as an official platform to strengthen strategic relationships and discuss the planning of initiatives focused on student development and well-being at Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The interaction session involved representatives from the UPM Student Representative Council, namely Shafinaz Kaus Abdul Aziz, Easwaran A/L Vasudavan, Nik Nurul Hana Nik Ahmad Zamzuri, Nik Nur Amyra Syazwana Nik Zulfikri, and Qistina Maisarah Muhd Hafizi. BKUPM was represented by Dr. Mazila Ghazali, Head of the Counseling Division of UPM, together with Section Heads and BKUPM officers, namely Puan Wan Azurani Wan Ahmad, Dr. Ansarul Haq bin Tahrir Adli, Encik Mohamad Za’im bin Rosli, Puan Kamariah binti Derasol, and Puan Ayna Marliana binti Mohamad Sari.

The professional interaction focused on two-way discussions addressing strategic collaboration between BKUPM and MPP, particularly in the planning and coordination of programs that support students’ mental and emotional well-being as well as holistic development. The session also provided a platform for the exchange of views on current student needs, psychosocial challenges on campus, and the role of student leadership in strengthening the university’s support ecosystem.

BKUPM welcomed the active participation of MPP representatives and views this collaborative approach as a key element in ensuring that planned counseling services and psychological interventions are more inclusive, responsive, and impactful. The discussions also emphasized the importance of synergy between university management and student leadership in creating a balanced, safe, and supportive campus environment that promotes the overall well-being of students.

Through this interaction session, BKUPM remains optimistic that continued collaboration with the Student Representative Council can be further strengthened and translated into the implementation of more structured, focused, and student-centered initiatives. This effort aligns with Universiti Putra Malaysia’s commitment to fostering a holistic and conducive learning and campus life experience.
