SERDANG, March 26 - The Putra Career Planning Program is a special initiative for students at the UPM Science Foundation Center. This program is organized by the Career Planning Unit, Career Counseling Section, UPM Counseling Division (BKUPM) in collaboration with the UPM Science Foundation Center. A total of 710 students attended the program which took place from 13 February to 26 March 2024.

A total of 20 series have been implemented with a small group method where each group will be with a Psychological Officer. This method is to give space to students to interact and get career information more closely. Before they attend the program, on January 29 to February 11, 2024, the students need to take the Career Interest Test first.

Among the objectives of organizing the program are to;

1. Help students understand more about themselves (interests, personality, skills and strengths).

2. Helping students find out the harmony of their career interests and the work environment that suits them.

3. Helping students to gain common sense in making decisions in the selection of courses offered at Universiti Putra Malaysia based on the results obtained.

4. Helping students to plan their chosen career.

Through this program, it is hoped that the students will be able to make career plans from the beginning before choosing and making decisions in continuing their studies to the Bachelor's level or related. It is very important for them to know these things because the alignment between their career interests and the work environment can trigger satisfaction and pleasure at work that will be met later.

According to the program coordinator, Ms. Noorihayatti Noorudin "Alhamdulillah, Thank God that the program was able to run successfully as a result of the cooperation and support from the UPM Counseling Division and the UPM Science Foundation Center. A million thanks to all involved for their solid commitment and support. May the students benefit and be able to make a course selection plan that suits you and achieve your dream career."
