Covid-19 Free; Putra FM Radio Project With BKUPM Counselors

Many countries are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the world. It is no exception that Malaysia is also one of the most impactful countries, and it certainly has a huge impact on the people, regardless of economic, physical, social and mental aspects.

The role of frontman is huge. They are working hard to prevent the spread of this pandemic. However, there is no denying that non-frontline staff, including counselors are also needed. Counselors play a role in helping to relieve stress and relieve people's emotions following this difficult situation.

Following the Movement Control Order (MCO), which has been announced by the government, the people must adhere to the procedures set out. The people are asked to be calm in dealing with this situation. In the era of the Conditional Movement Control (CPPB) and Recovery Movement (PKPP) Order, new norms were introduced, and we needed to adapt physically, mentally to new habits in order to prevent the spread of this dangerous disease. Of course, the most affecting are the emotions of the individual in relation to their own mental health management.

The Counseling Division therefore takes the opportunity and initiative by conducting various psychological and motivational support programs online.

Among the virtual programs run by BKUPM is the 'Covid-19 Putra FM Free Project With BKUPM Counselor' which has been running for 7 series from April to May 2020.

The first topic was, 'The 5 Rules Of Happiness In Our Life' by Dr. Mazila Ghazali, the second topic of 'Remaining Harmony in Communication Through B.E.S.T Techniques' by Mrs. Noorihayatti Noorudin, the third topic was 'Three Companions of Friendships That Must Be Preserved and Avoided' by Mr. Mohd Redzuan Zamberi. The next topic was' Moderate from the Psychological Aspects' of Mrs Anis Akmilah Mat Hassan, the next was' Managing Emotions' by Mrs Izwana Ismail, 'Wisdom Behind' by Mrs Wan Azurani Wan Ahmad, while the last topic was' Three Tips to Stay Healthy and Active 'by Mrs. Kemelia Omar.

As of this writing, the program has garnered 6148 views.

The program is designed to provide motivation and guidance to the audience, the UPM community in particular, to increase motivation, improve knowledge and skills to stay motivated and proactive despite the various obstacles that may arise from the current situation. In addition, the program is intended to help viewers remain calm and grateful in any situation. Students may be in a difficult situation, experiencing anxiety or resentment toward their studies, and employees may be overwhelmed with work responsibilities that may be disrupted by not being able to work in the office. It may be that some are clumsy and upset that they need to work from home and balance the new daily routine. Through this short partnership, hopefully a little help. The way of implementing the program is to conceptualize the sharing of short motivational videos online through the official website of Putra FM as well as the official BKUPM facebook. Hopefully, in this way, it will help the UPM community in balancing emotions, coping skills or responding to unpredictable situations and enhancing their personal and personal qualities.

Thanks to everyone who watched, and together we freed you from COVID-19
