11 JOBS GET A PLACE IN THE HEARTS OF FORESTRY SCIENCE BACHELOR GRADUATES

A second year student from the Bachelor of Forestry Science came to meet for a career guidance session with a counselor at the UPM Counseling Division. He frowned because he was confused and stuck with the limited forestry career information. He said family members also wondered about the career future for the studies he was studying. This added to his anxiety. Through career guidance sessions that have been conducted, counselors have provided information related to 11 career positions for Bachelor of Forestry Science graduates. Let's see what position and responsibility information is suitable for the bachelor.

1. Forest Manager
The forest manager is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the forest such as education, development, enforcement, ecotourism, maintenance and so on.
2. Forest Conservator
Responsible for planning, managing and controlling forestry activities in line with Government regulations and policies.
3. Wildlife Officer
Responsible for enforcing the law under the Wildlife Protection Act 76/72 as well as controlling, researching and organizing wildlife.
4. Superintendent of State/Country Parks
State/national park authorities are responsible for overseeing and maintaining forested areas within state/national parks.
5. Forest Operations Officer
This officer is responsible for carrying out law enforcement work and is empowered based on provisions in the National Forestry Act such as arresting, arresting and confiscating. The supervisor also monitors the works of forest development, forest management, forest operations, forest research, timber industry, forest plantations and area gazetting.
6. City Forest Officer
This officer performs the function of monitoring, regulating and managing urban forest activities. The freshness and beauty of the landscape and urban forest plants is the responsibility of this officer.
7. Farm Forest Manager
This manager is responsible for coordinating all activities related to plantation forests such as education, development, enforcement, ecotourism, maintenance and so on.
8. Arboriculture Officer
Regulate and implement landscape maintenance works. In addition, monitor the maintenance of pruning, especially the main trees and landscapes that pose a danger to the safety of property and people's lives. This officer's duties are also involved in the preparation of principal inventory record management and providing principal inventory and data management services.
9. Forestry Researcher
The task of the researcher is to conduct research related to the development, care, and conservation of forests and forest contents.
10. Wood Industry Officer
This officer carries out responsibilities in developing the timber industry and also monitors the maintenance of logging activities. The duty of this officer is to focus on the forest produce manager.
11. Nature/Wildlife Activist
Activists are individuals who are active and aggressive in preserving forests and forest contents.
This career guidance session with bachelor students ended with satisfied and excited smiles from the students. These students are very surprised by the career information and are ready to prepare to focus on the available options. Hopefully this career information will benefit other Bachelor of Forestry students as well. Good luck!
