Basically, counseling teachers and counselors perform almost the same tasks. That is, conducting counseling sessions as well as planning and implementing prevention, development and intervention activities for the respective target groups. The main difference between counseling teachers and counselors is the place of service and the target group of clients. Counseling teachers usually work in schools with clients ranging in age from 7 to 19 years old (depending on whether it is primary school or secondary school). While counselors work outside the school environment with more mature and diverse client groups, it also depends on the institution where a counselor works. Here is a brief comparison between counseling teachers and counselors.
